Liverpool property services business Liberty has secured seven new contract wins potentially worth millions of pounds.

Liberty, which specialises in domestic repairs and maintenance and heating and compliance services, has won a contract with West Lancashire Council to deliver a £587,000 programme to renew kitchens in 126 of its homes over the next 12 months.

Wigan Council has also appointed the business to its repairs and maintenance framework to provide adaptations in homes for vulnerable and disabled people to help them live independently.

Securing a place on the framework means Liberty will be awarded a share of the £5m programme of works.

Working with Leeds City Council, Liberty has been successful in a competition process and appointed as one of four contractors to a four-year reroofing framework until March 2025, that will deliver capital investment works for the provision of new roofs to properties.

Each financial year Liberty, as one of the four appointed contractors, will compete in competition for works in the region of £2m with two contractors been appointed for that year to deliver approx. £1m each. Four heating contracts have also been secured.

National provider of homes for people with a disability or mental health conditions, Advance UK, has also awarded Liberty a three-year, £530,000 gas servicing and maintenance contract. This will also include air source heat pumps and solar thermal heating systems.

In Wales, Liberty has won a £400,000 contract to deliver gas and other fuel heating system servicing repairs with Linc Cymru, a housing association and health care provider providing 3,800 affordable homes and 1,100 sheltered and extra care homes.

Ray Jones, group managing director of Liberty, said: “These new contracts build on a really successful period of growth for Liberty across all areas of the business, having recently announced over £23m in new business despite the challenging economic conditions created by the pandemic.

“We’re delighted to be working with our new partners to deliver a wide range of works to improve the lives of their tenants, keep them safe and enable them to live independently in their homes through our smart and straightforward way of working.”
