Red Run is expanding with a new menswear range

Liverpool ‘athleisure’ business Red Run is expanding into menswear after the success of its womenswear ranges over the past four years.

Founded by Megan Kimmance and Abby Adderley, both from Crosby, in 2020 during lockdown, the fitness and leisure clothing venture has enjoyed rapid growth. Accounts filed on Companies House in 2024 revealed net assets of more than £600,000.

Red Run opened at Liverpool’s Royal Albert Dock before launching its flagship Liverpool ONE store in 2023. The firm has continued to expand and develop its collections.

Now it has launched a menswear collection with 10 different pieces. Megan, who is Red Run’s creative director, studied fashion, specialising in menswear. It was always her ambition to expand her collections and she felt that now the time was right.

“Menswear has always been a personal passion of mine as it was my area of specialisation as a designer,” she said.

“It has always been part of my long-term vision to develop a menswear collection but myself and the team wanted to ensure that we’d solidified the market with our womenswear collection and built a strong foundation before considering diversification.

“After four incredible years, and having successfully established our womenswear range, now felt like the perfect time to expand and show just what we can design, develop and achieve.”

Red Run’s first menswear collection is named Drop 1. All of its collections are created in-house by its design team, ensuring that each piece is carefully conceptualised, developed and crafted from scratch.

Earlier in December the firm was the only Liverpool business to win an award at the Barclays Entrepreneur of the Year Awards, winning the High Growth award.

Megan added: “Expanding to offer a menswear collection is the perfect way to end 2024 and what has been another successful and monumental year for Red Run in terms of exciting partnerships and forging new relationships.”
