A Liverpool city centre bar is to offer an array of beauty products via a new vending machine.

Slug & Lettuce, located on the corner of Cook Street and North John Street, is one of only four venues in the UK to take part in the beauty vending machine trial. It has been unveiled to coincide with the festive party season.

This machine offers a series of products which have been chosen following interviews with guests and is home to one, bespoke product by a makeup artist which won’t be found anywhere else in the UK.

Makeup artist to the stars, Armand Beasley has created a 50g size pot of his award-winning Pro Body Glow, especially for the Slug & Lettuce Liverpool vending machine.

Other products include Hollywood Fashion Tape, Winks Self Adhesive Lashes, Duo Eyelash Glue, MUD Eyeliner, Black Forest and MUD Versatile Eye Pencils.

Armand Beasley said: “I absolutely love the idea of the beauty vending machine coming to the rescue of Slug & Lettuce guests who need a bit of a beauty or grooming pick me up on a night out.

“I’ve been a cruelty free makeup artist and beauty expert for many years now and I’m delighted that my multi award-winning Pro Body Glow has been carefully selected to go into the machine in Liverpool.

“We’ve created a special 50g size pot just for Slug & Lettuce, so that guests can experience our 100% natural high shine nourishing multipurpose balm on the go.”

Becky Southern, head of marketing at Slug & Lettuce, added: “We’ve seen beauty vending machines in airports and shopping centres, but never in bars, so it felt like a clear opportunity to add something special for our guests.”

The beauty vending machine will be rolled out in the coming weeks at three other Slug & Lettuce venues across the UK as part of a test phase, before a decision is made on whether the vending machines will become a permanent fixture.”
