Liverpool business leader prepares to take on mammoth charity cycle

Steven A Hunt & Associates managing director Steve Hunt, is tackling the four-day bike ride from London to Paris at the end of this month, to raise funds for Liverpool-based R Charity.

The Royal Liverpool & Broadgreen University Hospital NHS Trust’s Charity, known as R Charity, is raising funds to provide world class healthcare for patients in Merseyside and its surrounding areas.

Setting off from London on June 21 along with his son Joe, Steve Hunt’s ride will be split into different stages to tackle the various terrains along a gruelling 280-mile route.
Aiming to reach the French capital on the June 24, the father and son team will be cycling in excess of 70 miles a day to reach their goal.
Steve Hunt commented: “R Charity is a charity/cause that is very close to my heart as they helped me when I faced some serious health issues a few years ago. It is an honour to be raising money with my son for such a fantastic new hospital. All of the hard work and training will all be worth it when I can hand over the cheque to R Charity next month.
“Training in the peak district and on the roads of Liverpool has really tested me, but I am raring to go and I can’t wait for the 21st June to come around now. Any charitable donations will be greatly received and I would just like to say a big thank you to those who have already pledged money through my Just Giving page.”
