Liverpool entrepreneur and author Natalie Reeves Billing has become a multiple award winner after scooping two top prizes at the Mums Choice Awards 2020.

The awards attracted a record number of entries this year making Toxteth-born Natalie’s double win all the more impressive. Voted for by readers, Natalie’s books written under her Lollipop Lodge stable won Gold for the Monstrous Me collection and Silver for Ben and the Bug.

My Mummy is a Monster, the first book in the Monstrous Me collection, was published in May. Ben and the Bug, aimed at easing the anxieties of children returning to school amid the COVID-19 pandemic. It now sits in the Museum of Liverpool.

Talking about the book, she said: “With so many company owners and families experiencing anxiety, I decided to create a heartfelt book that I hope can make a real difference. It aims to change the face of coronavirus for little ones by presenting the story through a bug’s eyes, looking at life through the lens of a virus.

The book provides ‘fact’ boxes unlocking the facts and stats around the virus, giving businesses and families information they need to know, but without fear-mongering.”
