Liverpool Football Club has frozen season ticket prices for the 2022/23 Premier League season for the seventh year in a row.

Season tickets range in price depending on which part of the stadium the seat is in. Adult prices range from £685 to £869. For over 65s they are priced from £514 to £652, young adults (aged 17 to 21) pay £342 to £434 and juniors a flat price of £165.

There are around 27,000 season ticket holders with seats at Anfield which has a capacity of 54,000. There is a waiting list for tickets, which has been closed for five years, with 70,000 people on it. When the Anfield Road extension is completed the total capacity of 61,000.

Liverpool, which is owned by US-based Fenway Sports Group, has decided to freeze the prices despite taking a financial hit from the COVID-19 pandemic when the stadium was closed to fans for long periods, sending matchday revenues plummeting.

In February, Liverpool released their financial results for the 12 months to May 31, 2021. They showed a slight fall in overall revenue, down £3m to £487m, but a big improvement in margins. Its loss before tax fell to just £4.8m from a hefty £41.5m the previous years.

The 2022/23 season ticket renewal period will open Thursday, March 31, and will end on Tuesday, May 24. Phil Dutton, LFC vice-president ticketing and hospitality, said: “Firstly we’d like to thank supporters for their patience and for their co-operation this season as we welcomed them back to Anfield.

“We know the last few years have been a challenging time for everyone and today we can confirm that our season ticket prices will be frozen again for next season.

“This is now the seventh season in a row that we’ve frozen these prices, and it’s something we’re very proud of. Season ticket holders will be sent an email on Tuesday 30th March with further details of the renewal process.”
