Liverpool-based Forresters, a firm of patent and trade mark attorneys, is set to sponsor the annual Sportsman’s Lunch at Neston Cricket Club.
Running since 1995, the Sportsman’s Lunch attracts more than 500 guests from Merseyside’s business community.
Forresters will be the main sponsor of the event for the next two years, taking over from Liverpool insurance brokers Coulter Hurst.
In addition to sponsoring the lunch, Forresters will be providing financial support to Neston Cricket Club’s Shrimp Appeal – a fund which sponsors the training of a number of talented young people in hockey, cricket, tennis and squash.
Ross Walker, partner at Forresters, said:
“The Sportsman’s Lunch is one of the most popular business events in the calendar and we are delighted to have been chosen as lead sponsor of the event.
“Forresters is also committed to supporting talented young people in the business world, sporting arena and wider community. The Shrimp Appeal is a superb cause – which helps to change the lives of young people by supporting them in their sporting careers.
Jonathan Brown, chairman of Neston Cricket Club, added:
“The Sportsman’s Lunch is one of the most popular events in Merseyside, attracting guests from right across the North West. We received a great deal of interest from businesses to support the event. We are delighted to welcome Forresters.”
