Tim Jack, sales director at Gas Tag, took part in the session to showcase the firm’s gas safety technology to the 350 delegates at the Fifth annual Association of Gas Safety Managers Conference
Liverpool-based technology company – Gas Tag – spoke at the fifth annual Association of Gas Safety Managers Conference – and won a Dragons’ Den-style contest.
Held annually in Hinckley, Leicestershire, it is the essential event for senior managers responsible for gas safety in housing associations across the UK.
Tim Jack, sales director at Gas Tag, took part in the Dragon’s Den session to showcase its gas safety technology to the 350 delegates, who are collectively responsible for more than 2.5m homes in the UK.
And he won the contest with 65% of the votes.
Tim, who previously worked for global player, Honeywell, has spent a major part of his career influencing laws and building strong relationships in government across the UK and Europe.
He recently joined Gas Tag to continue to help save lives from carbon monoxide poisoning and assist in driving the right behaviours in gas engineers.
The company’s innovation allows engineers to sign-in by touching their mobile against a special tag when they visit a registered property, providing the landlord with geo-tagged, time-stamped and photo-verified evidence of all work carried out.
It’s the first real-time system to monitor gas safety in homes and means landlords can access KPI-driven monitoring to ensure their tenants are safe.
Tim said: “I recently joined Gas Tag after 13 years in a global company which allowed me to see future trends and gaps in gas safety compliance within the social housing sector.
“I’m looking forward to demonstrating how we can help address those gaps and become the standard for gas safety across the UK and Europe.”
