Liverpool law firm expanding and recruiting

In continued expansion plans, law firm Maxwell Hodge has appointed three new staff.

Joining the West Kirby office, solicitor Pamela Thorniley will head up the family law team, and solicitor Elizabeth Foggin joins the lifetime planning department at the Formby office.

Paralegal Sarah Healey also joins the firm and will be based at the Aintree office, working in the clinical negligence team.

Pamela, previously owner of PJ Thorniley Solicitors in Chester, has more than 17 years’ experience in the family law industry and specialises in divorce, finances and children matters.

Elizabeth Foggin has worked in the legal sector since 2005 and specialises in elderly client and private client matters, wills, probate, IHT planning, tax and trusts.

Sarah has more than four years’ experience in clinical negligence in both claimant and defendant work and joins Maxwell Hodge following working at Weightmans solicitors in Liverpool.

Chief executive Simon Leyland said:

“The new appointments are further strengthening the teams in our local offices throughout Merseyside. We have seen an upsurge in work across all the offices in recent months and the new appointments give us further resource to service this work and grow the business.”
