Headed by director Andrew Joseph Manion, AJM Hairdressing has been shortlisted in the Stylist of the Year category following a three-month campaign open to the public vote.
A local salon has been ‘blown away’ by the support of its clients after becoming a finalist in the English Hair & Beauty Awards 2017.
Andrew and the team will join some of the biggest names in the industry during the awards ceremony, held at Mercure Manchester Piccadilly Hotel on Sunday, March 26.
Andrew said: “As an award that received over 18,000 nominations, the team and I are ecstatic to have scooped a place in the finals. I would like to thank each and every one of our loyal clients who took the time to vote for us. As a salon that prides itself on keeping up to date with evolving hair trends, building and maintaining a genuine rapport with our clients remains at the forefront of what we do.”
AJM Hairdressing provides services for both men and women including cutting, styling, highlighting, colouring and extensions.
In addition to becoming a finalist in the English Hair & Beauty Awards 2017, for three consecutive years the salon has been shortlisted in the L’Oréal Colour Trophy North West Regional Final.
They were ranked 16th out of 1,000 in the men’s category and 26th in the women’s.
Andrew added: “Having recently marked three years in business, the team and I are very much looking forward to being a part of the salon’s evolution process. In order to add a new arm to our offering, I have embarked on a professional makeup degree so that the salon can become a thriving total makeover hub.
“Winning this fantastic award would certainly be the icing on the cake when it comes to business highlights.”
