The Liverpool business, which specialises in education and health software, has partnered with Ross McGill, aka Teacher Toolkit, the founder of one of the most popular education websites in the world and originator of the plan.
Angel, which is based at Liverpool Science Park, says the 5 Minute Lesson Plan is the “ultimate, interactive digital lesson planning tool”, helping newly qualified teachers to reduce workload, streamline thought process and make planning easier.
Mr McGill is an award-winning blogger, author and teacher with more than 25 years teaching and school leadership experience in some of the most challenging schools in London.

He created the 5 Minute Lesson Plan back in 2006 on paper, and since then there have been many adaptations.
It was cited as best practice in the Department for Education guidance as there is a push towards the reduction of written lesson plans. Technology is becoming an integral part of the education sector and is no longer an add-on but something the sector is looking to for support.
The plan has been downloaded thousands of times, by teachers in more than 140 countries and shows no signs of slowing down.
Angel held a launch event for the product at its circus-themed office where its team produce develop web-based applications to help all levels of the education sector, from pupils, teachers and school leader’s right through to local authorities and large academy chains.
