Thousands of people attended the 10th Liverpool Food and Drink Festival in Sefton Park

Thousands of food lovers descended on Sefton Park last weekend for Liverpool Food and Drink Festival, which is now in its 10th year.

The Hairy Bikers, Simon Rimmer, Nisha Katona, Paul Askew, Gary Usher, Aiden Byrne and Anton Piotrowski were among the chefs who entertained the crowds with cooking demonstrations and masterclasses.

Visitors also enjoyed a whole raft of tasty treats prepared by local chefs, street food stalls and producers.

To mark Liverpool Food and Drink Festival’s 10th birthday, there was also a special preview event in a boho-themed marquee in Sefton Park.

Guests enjoyed a three-course Asian style banquet from Gizzi Erskine as well as live music from iconic indie band Lightning Seeds.

Isabella Kantor, festival manager at Liverpool Food and Drink Festival, said: “I would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who came along to help us celebrate 10 years of Liverpool Food and Drink Festival.

“The restaurants, producers, street food stalls and bars all put on a fantastic feast for visitors to enjoy. The celebrity chef demos and local masterclasses were hugely entertaining and the sun even came out for the occasion.”

Preparations are already underway for Liverpool Food, Drink and Lifestyle Spring Festival, which is set to take place in Sefton Park from 28-29 April, 2018.
