Serviced office provider Orega has agree a deal to take 18,000 sq ft of office space at 20 Chapel Street in Liverpool’s central business district.
Orega will occupy part of the first and second floors on a 10-year lease, with the space now being refurbished ahead of the company’s expected move in June 2017.
The deal was announced by the owner of 20 Chapel Street, the British Airways Pension Trustees Limited (BAPTL). Quoting rents on the building are £18 per sq ft.

The deal comes after a number of existing tenants have re-signed their leases at 20 Chapel Street. Ernst & Young LLP, which occupies 6,000 sq ft, has committed to a further five years and Fujitsu has extended its lease on its 4,000 sq ft office.
The deal is Orega’s third centre in its portfolio to be partnered with BAPTL after the successful launch of the fully occupied Orega Canary Wharf at South Quay Building, London and Orega Aberdeen.
Managing director of Orega, Zach Douglas, said: “We are excited about our flourishing relationship with BAPTL and look forward to providing a new, professional working environment to entrepreneurs and businesses in Liverpool with a trusted landlord who is investing heavily in the building.
“The new centre will be our first in Liverpool, offering fully serviced offices, modern meeting rooms and excellent break out areas in one of the city’s most striking buildings.”
It was also recently announced that accountancy firm RSM agreed to take a new 10-year lease and more than double its space at 20 Chapel Street to over 6,000 sq ft.
Sam Walker, director at Canmoor, which purchased the freehold for 20 Chapel Street on behalf of BAPTL last year, said: “The last few months have been extremely positive and it’s great to see new tenants as well as existing occupiers signing up to long term leases.
“We’re looking forward to welcoming Orega in the summer, as well as the mix of SMEs that use Orega’s offices, which will add to the vibrancy of the building.”
Completed in 2008, 20 Chapel Street comprises 155,000 sq ft of Grade A office space across 15 floors.
