Liverpool’s Cataclean product group sees US sales boost

Liverpool’s eco-engine product maker Cataclean Global has announced a surge of 300% in sales to the US.

Global director of Cataclean, Graham Fraser has reported a bumper turnover of £1.7 million in 2014. These sales improvements have been attributed to tightened regulations on emissions inspections in many US states, along with a closer relationship with Cataclean’s US licensee Accel Performance in Ohio.

Graham Fraser said:

“The USA is a massive potential market for us and we feel we are only touching the surface of it,

“The US has led the way in cracking down on vehicle emissions stretching back to the federal Clean Air Act in the late seventies. As a result there are established regimes for emissions inspections across the country.

“That rigorous approach means there is a strong demand for our product which can reduce emissions by 60%. Our licensee, Accel Performance, is helping us communicate our benefits with greater impact to motorists and mechanics in America.

“Accel is a big player in the States and Cataclean is the first chemical, fuel system cleaner it has sold for 50 years, which reflects its belief and confidence in Cataclean.

“Our big benefits are helping petrol and diesel cars reduce their emissions, making the engines more efficient, and enhancing performance by improving torque.

“Moreover, our product is attractive in the US because it is low cost, at around $25 to $30 per bottle and, importantly, the bottle is easy to use for motorists.”

This North American sales increase has come at an exciting time as part of the company’s export campaign to produce a £1.7 million turnover.

Cartaclean was also recently named a UK Trade & Industry (UKTI) North West Exports Champion, recognised the company’s overseas growth in Africa, the Middle East, Europe and the US.
