Local charity Mencap Liverpool will be holding their third annual Comedy night on Wednesday 18th May at 7pm, at LEAF on Bold St.
Mencap, who provide a range of support services for adults with learning disabilities and those on the autistic spectrum in the city, are showcasing their latest event after previous successes.
The night is set to provide a great fundraiser for the charity, who have signed up brilliant local comedians, including headline act Sam Avery and MC for the evening, Dave Twentyman. It is hoped that many supporters will join the charity for a fantastic evening of laughs, giggles and brilliant comedy, whilst raising money for the local Liverpool charity.
Comedian Sam Avery commented:
“I’m really looking forward to the night, it’s a top line up for a really good cause.”
The event is being supported by Barclays staff from the local contact centre in Wavertree.
Mencap Liverpool Chief Executive, Sarah Jones, commented:
“Our comedy night is a really popular event which raises lots of much needed funds. It gives everyone the chance to have a laugh and the money we raise makes a big difference to the work we can do with local people who have a learning disability. I can’t wait for this year!”
