Baker & Baker is based in Bromborough in Wirral and is creating 30 new jobs

European bakery products manufacturer Baker & Baker is seeking applications from jobseekers to fill 30 new roles at its Wirral factory.

Baker & Baker already employs around 600 people at its factory and headquarters in Bromborough. It is now launching a new recruitment drive as its business grows to meet customer demand.

There are a variety of roles available at the firm including entry level (grade one) positions with a starting salary of £23,210.

No prior manufacturing experience is necessary as full training will be provided for successful applicants. However the company is also keen to attract job seekers who do possess relevant manufacturing experience, particularly within the food industry.

One of Europe’s leading suppliers of Bakery products, Baker & Baker produces donuts, muffins, brownies, cookies, cakes, specialty breads and viennoiserie categories.

Until April 2021 it was a division of US-based CSM Ingredients but now operates as an independent business. In its first full year of independence it saw sales of £380m.

It also has a number of European operations. In September last year LBN reported it had bought a factory in Portugal that produces pastel de nata. These are traditional custard tarts that are increasingly popular in the UK.

A Baker & Baker spokesperson said: “We’re looking to recruit individuals with a range of career backgrounds to grow our successful manufacturing team at the Wirral.

“Baker & Baker manufactures a broad range of sweet bakery products for prominent retailers at the Bromborough site. We offer genuine career progression opportunities across all of our roles.”

Interested applicants should contact recruitmentwirral@bakerandbaker.eu to apply or to request further information.
