Liverpool city region entrepreneur Jody Riley launches what she says is the UK’s first approved register for beauty and aesthetic practitioners. Tony McDonough reports
A new register that aims to raise standards and ensure safety compliance in the beauty and aesthetics industry has been launched by entrepreneur Jody Riley.
Jody, from Formby, already runs the successful Cliquesy, a digital platform for beauty and hair salons and barbers shops. This is used by both businesses and customers to book and schedule appointments and buy both wholesale and retail products.
She is also behind National Beauty UK and the National Beauty Awards and she says National Beauty Register & Reviews will follow the Trustpilot model to “elevate standards and foster trust” in the beauty, wellness, hair, and aesthetics industry.
This launch underscores what Jody insists is her commitment to raising standards across the beauty sector, addressing a “critical need” for regulation and consumer protection.
“Our mission is to elevate the beauty industry by fostering a culture of compliance and excellence,” said Jody.
“This register is not just about setting standards. It’s about ensuring the trust and safety of every client and instilling trust back into the community. There’s nothing else like it, and we believe it will be a game-changer for the industry.

“As beauty treatments become increasingly complex, the Approved Register stands as a beacon of integrity, ensuring that only qualified and compliant professionals can showcase their services to the public.”
Jody adds the register will serve as a “vital resource for professionals and consumers alike”. It will verify and list beauty practitioners and businesses that meet rigorous industry standards, offering peace of mind to clients seeking safe and high-quality services.
