Three weeks after unveiling the shortlist for the ninth annual Mersey Maritime Industry Awards the cluster organisation is now welcoming votes from members of the sector. Tony McDonough reports
Mersey Maritime is inviting members of the industry locally, nationally, and internationally to cast their votes and help pick the winners of the Mersey Maritime Industry Awards (MMIAs) 2023.
Now recognised as one of the biggest events in the calendar of the UK’s £116bn maritime sector, the MMIAs celebrate the achievements of the industry’s most outstanding companies and individuals.
Taking place at Liverpool Cathedral on Thursday, November 2, from 6.30pm to 11pm, the MMIAs are open to any business, company, individual, non-profit organisation or charity, operating in or supporting the maritime, logistics and energy sectors.
This year, a record number of companies and individuals have made it to the finalist stage. They were selected after a “rigorous” evaluation process, involving 13 judges representing various sectors of the maritime industry.
Voting will be open until Sunday, October 15. Mersey Maritime said: “We would like to wish all finalists the very best of luck and to remind them not to forget to promote themselves vigorously in the next couple of weeks.”
In September Mersey Maritime revealed the shortlist for this year’s MMIAs. To vote for the winners click here. The finalists are:
