Commercial agents have secured two new tenants at Plantation Park in Wirral International Business Park in Bromborough and signed up an existing tenant for another 10 years.

Acting on behalf of park owner Mileway, joint property agents Legat Owen and B8RE have secured community food hub charity, Too Good to Waste, at a 10,688 sq ft unit on a five-year lease. Civil engineers DT Hughes have taken a two-year lease on 7,392 sq ft space.

Existing tenant Abbey Logistics has renewed its leases on 137,000 sq ft for 10 years. Abbey is one of the UK’s leading bulk logistics specialist and is already the biggest tenant at the park.

Mileway has also  completed the refurbishment of Unit 17 C/D comprising 39,296 sq ft, which benefits from a large yard and LED lighting. It is available now on a leasehold basis.

David Deeley, senior asset manager at Mileway, said: “Bromborough continues to be an attractive business destination and Plantation Park complements our portfolio of high-quality assets in key locations. We were pleased to secure Abbey Logistics’ ongoing occupation at the property and we welcome Too Good to Waste and DT Hughes to Plantation Park.”

Located off Junction 5 of the M53, Plantation Park provides around 250,000 sq ft of warehousing and 10,000 sq ft of offices. Wirral international Business Park is home to a number of high-profile tenants including Great Bear, Meyer Prestige and Cereal Partners.

Mark Diaper, associate director at Legat Owen, added: “Wirral is proving to be well-established location for businesses. There is a limited supply of stock of this size in this area and we believe Mileway’s proactive decision to refurbish the remaining space will quickly be followed by a letting.”

Rita Lewis from Too Good To Waste, also said: “Taking the lease on 17a Planation has been the catalyst for supporting our community with much needed food. We are setting up to support 250 small food groups across Wirral, Cheshire and North Wales to provide the safe and clean storage of food to provide easy access for our members to collect their food from.”
