Following a number of new appointments and client wins law firm Napthens has has increased its footprint in Liverpool and now has the capacity for up up to 30 people. Tony McDonough reports
Law firm Napthens has grown its footprint in Liverpool with a fourfold increase in floorspace following a number of senior appointments.
Led by Gareth McIntegart, the local Napthens team now totals 12 and its new office on the sixth floor of The Plaza in Old Hall Street now has the capacity for up to 30 staff. It also includes new meeting room facilities.
The firm has made several new appointments, including two additions to its employment team. Specialising in education law, including safeguarding and exclusions, Suzanne Mainwaring has been appointed as a senior associate following more than 11 years with Hill Dickinson in Liverpool.
Chris Hayes also joins as a senior associate from MSB Solicitors where he headed the employment team. An active member of the Liverpool Law Society’s Employment Law sub-committee, he acts for a broad range of organisations, from small owner-managed-businesses through to well established SMEs.
They follow senior associate Shahida Jogi, who joined as part of the firm’s wills and estate planning practice earlier in the year from Weightmans, and senior associate James Stephenson from Brabners who is tasked with driving forward the firm’s litigation practice in the city.
Since opening its doors in Liverpool in 2018, Napthens has quickly developed its regional client base. Its client list includes Abbey Logistics Group, Joloda Hydraroll, Applied Nutrition, Heritage Great Britain, Elitetele.com, National Museums Liverpool, and Ludlow Wealth Management.
Mr McIntegart said: “Liverpool city region remains a key part of Napthens’ future growth plans and we’re excited to be making this further commitment to that plan.
“Since launching the office, we’ve worked hard to further strengthen relationships and embed ourselves into the local community and, with a growing client portfolio, we are capitalising on almost 100 years of collective experience amassed by the team working in the city.
“The new space is fantastic and we’re encouraged by the feedback that we’ve had so far. I’m sure Chris and Suzanne will feel right at home and we look forward to seeing what they can achieve.”
