Liverpool charity Savera UK which tackles ‘culturally-specific abuse’ is teaming up with national perfume subscription service, Bare&Bond.

From Friday, November 15, customers will be able to purchase a special Savera UK X Bare&Bond subscription, with 10% of all proceeds being donated directly to the charity, which helps tackle honour’-based abuse, forced marriage and female genital mutilation.

The money will go towards continuing Savera UK’s life-changing and lifesaving services, including the one-to-one support service and drop-in sessions that it operates across Merseyside and Cheshire and its national helpline.

Subscribers to the Savera UK X Bare&Bond box pay monthly (£14.95), quarterly (£44.85) or annually (£159) to receive a box of three, 15ml perfumes every three months, with each perfume telling a different story.

The partnership features a collaboration with independent perfumer Sarah McCartney, the founder and nose of 4160Tuesdays and artist Bokani Tshidzu, winner of the BBC Big Painting Challenge, who designed the 100% recyclable box.

The campaign aims to raise awareness of harmful practices and encourage and empower people to speak out against them. Afrah Qassim, founder of Savera UK, said: “We are so excited to embark on this partnership with Bare&Bond. The ethos behind the brand has great synergy with the work we do at Savera UK.

“We use real stories to raise awareness of harmful practices and how to identify them. We speak out against these practices and provide lifesaving services that allow survivors a new beginning and an opportunity to connect with a support network, so they can build a future free from violence and abuse.”

Founder of Bare&Bond, Frankee Adams, added: “For me, this collaboration is about bringing women together. Savera UK has already helped so many people – women and men – out of abusive environments and into a support network.

“All of our perfumes tell a story. We love that – though our Savera UK subscription – we can help the charity continue to bring even more people into a new beginning and start their new story.”
