Twelve of the Liverpool city region’s best and brightest female-led businesses were presented with awards for excellence at Celebrating Enterprising Women event.

Organised by women’s business support provider The Women’s Organisation, the event honoured the local female entrepreneurs who are shaping the region’s business landscape across a range of industries.

Taking place in Constellations, more than 70 guests joined the celebrations which were hosted by local personality and actress, Eithne Browne. The awards were sponsored by local accountancy firm Lewis Evans.

The award-winners are clients of The Women’s Organisation and were carefully selected for an award by the team of business advisers who have offered advice and support to these entrepreneurs along their business journeys.

Among those celebrated were Anna Slater who was awarded ‘Young Entrepreneur of the Year’ having secured substantial financial investment to launch North West Linen Services and open her own factory facility in Knowsley at the tender age of 24.

Enterprise director at The Women’s Organisation, Jackie Williams, said: “This event was all about recognising and rewarding the successes of Liverpool city region’s enterprising women.
