A new giant digital advertising screen installed by outdoor advertising specialist OPEN Media has been switched on in Liverpool city centre.

The ‘Mega Six’ screen, on Barratt House on the corner of North John Street and Lord Street is the largest portrait digital screen in the city and is projected to be seen by 1.9m people each fortnight.

It uses bespoke LED technology from visual communication experts, Concept Group and it located adjacent to the main entrance to Liverpool One, which last year recorded a footfall of 27.5m.

Mike Smith, managing director of Liverpool-based OPEN Media, said: “Barratt House is the starting point of a national rollout of premium digital screens across the UK.

“Here at OPEN we pride ourselves on our ethos of quality over quantity, and are incredibly excited to announce several new exceptional locations throughout the summer. In just 12 months we have gone from a team of three to seven.

“For me, the most rewarding thing is being able to create new jobs in your home city.”

Barratt House is OPEN’s second city centre digital screen, the other being in Victoria Street.
