Mexican restaurant Pina Loca is set to open its doors in Merseyside later this month and owner Babul Miah is looking to add to his team. Tony McDonough reports
A new Mexican restaurant will open in Wirral this month and the entrepreneur behind the venture is looking to add to its team.
Babul Miah will open Pina Loca in Allport Lane in Bromborough later in November. It will be located at the site formerly occupied by McColl’s convenience store, but best remembered as Dillons Newsagents.
Pina Loca will bring “a slice of Latin flare” to Bromborough with its take on Mexican classics as well as a choice of Mexican-inspired small plates. It will also offer a wine and cocktail menu that promises to “make you think you are in Mexico”.
Pina Loca, or ‘crazy pineapple’ as its name translates, is the brain child of Mr Miah, a name synonymous with the restaurant trade in Wirral. He is a member of the same family that owns West Kirby’s popular Indian restaurant, Karma Indian Food.
He said: “I’m so excited to get the doors open and show Bromborough and the surrounding areas what we have to offer. The warm welcome we have received from the local community is amazing, we already feel part of the family and haven’t even opened the doors yet.
“The whole team have been working really hard for months to perfect our dishes and make sure that our drinks menu really hits the spot. We hope to open later this month if all goes to plan.”
Pina Loca is looking to employ chefs, bartenders and waiting on staff, in both full and part-time roles. To apply send a copy of your CV to careers@pinaloca.co.uk
