New tenants at Liverpool Science Park as it approaches full occupancy

Based next to the city’s Catholic cathedral, LSP has signed up two new occupiers with a trio of existing tenants extending their space. Tony McDonough reports

New two new tenants have signed up for space at Liverpool Science Park (LSP) with three existing occupants also expanding their space.

LSP two new tenants are the Innovation Agency, which has taken 1,054 sq ft of space and XMA Investments while Liverpool Health Partners, StrucSoft Solutions and BioGrad all taking extra accommodation.

And Land, which opened its pop-up coffee shop at the end of last year, also continues to grow within the reception of ic1. With further big announcements expected in the coming weeks it is likely that the three LSP buildings, totalling 120,000 sq ft, will near full occupancy for the first time in its history.

Innovation Agency chief executive, Dr Liz Mear, said: “We are looking forward to working more closely with our partners in Liverpool Science Park, in particular the Clinical Research Network North West Coast and Liverpool Health Partners.

“I believe that being co-located will bring many benefits, connecting staff in relevant programmes and providing lots of opportunities to share ideas and find new ways of working together for the benefit of the region.’

There have also been changes to the team at LSP under the new leadership of Colin Sinclair, chief executive of Sciontec and Knowledge Quarter Liverpool (KQ Liverpool), with three new promotions also revealed.

Leanne Katsande is now head of commercial, Philippa Lee is head of asset management and most recently Emma O’Hara has been promoted to senior finance manager.

Mr Sinclair said: “The team at LSP have responded brilliantly to the challenges of the last few months, working tirelessly with their Sciontec and KQ Liverpool colleagues to secure these new lettings and expansions.
