Nook & Cranny reopens on Bold Street

Liverpool design, gift and homeware store, Nook & Cranny is set to reopen its doors later this month as it moves into a brand new location in the city’s bustling independent quarter.

Launched in 2011, the brand dedicates itself to sourcing and stocking the hidden gems of the art and design world. Nook & Cranny prides itself on knowing its products and all artists involved on a very personal level and will be bringing even more to its new base on Bold Street. From cards, prints and stationary to novelty knick-knacks, reclaimed antiques and contemporary homeware, this is the one-stop shop for all things playful.

The highly-anticipated reopening will go off with an almighty bang as treasured artists, local press and members of established collective, Independent Liverpool, come together to celebrate at the newly refurbished unit. For one night only the shop will transform into a tribute to the Dia de Los Muertos, just in time for Halloween, with an array of Mexican- inspired tricks and treats.

The new store will include an on-site event space where Nook & Cranny will be introducing another string to its dynamic bow. An extensive programme is currently being developed that will include pop-up shops and restaurants; exclusive exhibitions and craft workshops, just to name a few. The brand will be working closely with businesses, organisations and universities across the city region to nurture the best of Liverpool’s unlimited supply of creative talent.

Founder and creative director Jennifer Kirby, said:

“It’s been three years in the making but Nook & Cranny has grown so much in such a short period of time and we’re very excited about how much the brand has evolved.

“We’re always extremely thankful for all of the support from local independents and our loyal customers and just can’t wait to reopen on Bold Street now. Expect more incredible talent, unique products and a whole host of brilliant events.”

She added:

“Our events are going to be an extension of the brand. We will be exploring different fun avenues of creativity and bringing people together to build skills, socialise and make great things to brighten up their daily lives. All of our events will be for big and little kids alike because growing older is compulsory but growing up is optional.”

Along with its portfolio of new artists, products and ongoing events programme, Nook & Cranny has also expanded its dedicated team. New buyers, merchandisers and marketeers are set to see the brand skyrocket over the coming months as the brand hits the ground running over the festive period.

Nook & Cranny is also getting involved with the Celebration of Style (COS) event that will be taking place across the city centre in November. The three-day fashion festival put together by SK Events, will be bringing together some of the worlds greatest influencers in fashion, art, photography, music and architecture. Nook & Cranny will be hosting a COS Clothes Shop in collaboration with popular local independent retailer Raiders Vintage, as well as inviting Inspiration of Style attendees to come along to the Nook & Cranny stall at the Rum Warehouse to be drawn by in-house illustrator Rheannon Ormond.
