The Northern Power Business Awards ‘celebrate the women and men working towards creating gender balance’

Nominations are now open for the third Northern Power Women Awards.

The awards showcase role models and celebrate the many different ways women contribute to business and society across the north of England.

The first awards were held in March 2016, attracting 440 organisation leaders and inspiring male and female role models.

This year there are 12 categories and organisers are asking people to nominate those people or organisations they believe are worthy of recognition.

You can nominate openly or anonymously and the closing date is Monday, November 13.

The categories are: Innovation Award; Person With Purpose; Outstanding Entrepreneur; Mentor of the Year; Agent of Change; Transformational Leader; Small, Medium or Large Organisation; One to Watch; Future List; and Power List.

The awards ceremony will take place on March 6, 2018 in an evening ceremony at the Hilton Hotel, Deansgate, Manchester.

Organisers say: “The awards celebrate the women and men working towards creating gender balance in organisations across the entire Northern Powerhouse.

“Winners are profiled and their stories shared to encourage other individuals and organisations to step up and take action.”
