Northern Tech Awards held at Titanic hotel

The fastest growing and most promising companies in the North of England were celebrated on Wednesday night (23rd March) in the glamorous surroundings of the Titanic hotel in Liverpool.

The glitzy, invitation-only event was attended by CEOs, entrepreneurs and business leaders in the Digital Economy.

Since 2011, the event, from GP Bullhound, the leading international technology investment bank, has recognised and celebrated the innovative technologies and businesses developed in the area, by acknowledging the top 50 fastest growing technology companies. It is an opportunity to showcase the continued success of these businesses, and the 2016 edition of the event was no different.

Kevin McManus, investment manager at Invest Liverpool, said:

“It’s fantastic to have this opportunity to celebrate the Northern tech sector and it seems fitting to be hosting this event in Liverpool, which is the UK’s second-fastest growing tech cluster and home to some of the most exciting emerging tech companies in the UK. It’s important to celebrate the outstanding achievements of the shortlisted companies, whose initiative, creativity and hard graft has delivered such outstanding growth and we are excited to see what the future holds for them. We’re delighted to see Angel Solutions shortlisted in the top 50 companies. Competition is incredibly tough at this level and the company is a great example of the ambitious creative businesses which are thriving in Liverpool’s connected, innovative tech community.”

Among the winners were ontrac, who scooped the fastest growing company prize, and TheLADBible, winning the young entrepreneur award. The full list of winners and pictures can be found at http://northerntechawards.com
