Sefton’s Park’s Palm House has been named the best city wedding venue in the UK

Liverpool’s Palm House has been named Best City Wedding Venue in the UK Wedding Awards.

The Grade II-listed Victorian Glass House in Sefton Park, which also houses the Liverpool Botanical Collection, was named the winner after a successful round of shortlisting, followed by a public vote.

The UK Wedding Awards are a partnership of leading brands ‘Hitched’, ‘Perfect Wedding’ and ‘You & Your Wedding’ and aims to identify a collective who’s who of the very best fashion houses, gift registrars, event suppliers, travel companies and wedding venues the country has to offer.

The Palm House was up against stiff competition and was pitted against many impressive venues across the country including Nottingham-based Awkwright Rooms and the Bristol Harbour Hotel and Spa, as well as two other Liverpool venues: Oh Me Oh My and Siren.

Rosemary Sorrell, events manager at The Palm House, said: “To be competing against such a wide variety of venues that are iconic in their own right is in itself an accomplishment, but to then be awarded the winner is something we are incredibly proud of.

“The Palm House is like no other wedding venue, with a vast array of tropical plants and flowers on display throughout the year, our venue offers something completely unique.

“We are so lucky to have such an exceptional space to host weddings, which countless couples have already experienced on their special day.”
