Housing association Plus Dane hosts HR summit in Liverpool, aimed at engaging with young people and getting them into work
Senior HR professionals gathered at the Liverpool headquarters of housing association Plus Dane in an initiative they hope will lead to more young people joining the workplace.
People from HR Connection Group, a national network for the HR sector, met at the Royal Albert Dock for the event. It was sponsored by recruitment transformation company Audience Link
As a “housing association with a social purpose”, Plus Dane has long been committed to providing work and training opportunities in its communities, and saw hosting the event as an opportunity to bring together influential speakers and expert facilitators.
They took part in talks, discussions and workshops that were relevant to the housing sector as well as the world of HR. Plus Dane’s deputy chief executive Claire Dixon was among the speakers at the event, alongside director of people Jas Samra.

Jas said: “We were pleased to be able to host this first HR event of its kind in Liverpool and give industry specialists the opportunity to get together to discuss the important issue of getting young people into work.
“It is vital that HR and people teams in any business are able to support young people coming into the workplace in ways that are meaningful and relevant to them.”
The facilities and central location of Plus Dane’s Liverpool office annually attracts a number of external organisations looking to host sector-related panels and events, including the Labour Party conference fringe in recent years.
