Property investor acquires Liverpool’s Connect Business Village

Connect Business Village on Derby Road, north Liverpool

 

A trading estate just north of Liverpool city centre has changed hands for an undisclosed sum.

Property investment company, Yakel Consultants, has acquired Connect Business Village on Derby Road, close to Sandhills railway station. It comprises a 25,000 sq ft HQ for social enterprise business PSS and 15 self-contained two storey offices ranging from 1,488 to 3,526 sq ft.

It was developed in partnership with Liverpool Land Development Company and Northshore (Atlantic Gateway) Strategic Investment Area. CBRE’s office agency team in Liverpool advised the seller.

Andrew Byrne, associate director at CBRE Liverpool, said: “The scheme is unique, being the first of its kind within North Liverpool’s business district and offers tenants the opportunity to benefit from high grade office suites with state of the art facilities in a well established location, connecting businesses to the heart of Liverpool.”

Manchester law firm Kuits advised Yakel on the purchase and property finance for the acquisition. Charlotte Barker, commercial property solicitor at Kuits, added:Connect Business Village is a significant commercial development for Liverpool with the potential to be a thriving business district due to its prominent location and excellent transport links.
