Southport Air Show is set to be an “unforgettable weekend of aviation, family entertainment and high-flying excitement” with the Red Arrows set to return.

Taking place on Saturday 29 and Sunday, August 30, the show is once again expected to bring tens of thousands of visitors to the town. The Royal Air Force’s Red Arrows will be among the most popular of this year’s headline attractions.

They will thrill crowds with their trademark precision flying, colourful smoke trails and breathtaking formations over Southport’s seafront.

And they will be joined by the Battle Of Britain Memorial Flight – featuring the Spitfire, Hurricane and Dakota – as well as the RAF Tutor, in displaying on both days of the show.

Cllr Paulette Lappin, Sefton Council’s Cabinet Member for Regeneration, Skills and Employment, said: “We are absolutely delighted to welcome the Red Arrows back to Southport Air Show in 2026.

“It’s no secret that they are one of the most iconic display teams in the world and their performances always create a truly special atmosphere along our coastline.

“We have been working hard in the background for many months to get the Red Arrows and other stunning RAF aircraft to appear.

“Southport Air Show is a major highlight in Sefton’s events calendar, bringing families, aviation enthusiasts and visitors together for a brilliant weekend by the sea.
