Medical products supplier Mediquip has taken a 14,852 sq ft unit at the 70,000 sq ft Croft Trade Park in Bromborough in Wirral.

Developer Redsun Projects has secured the deal with Mediquip, which will relocate from other premises nearby, after completing phase one of Croft Trade Park in the summer of 2024.

Mediquip, which has agreed a headline rent of £175,000 (£11.75 per sq ft), joins Lok’nStore, which acquired a 24,000 sq ft industrial unit for its self-storage operation, Starbucks café and Wendy’s fast-food restaurant at the location.

This letting has paved the way for phase 2 with construction on site which extends to 27,306 sq ft across six units and will be available from the final quarter of 2025.

Alex Perratt, associate director at B8RE, joint agents for the scheme with Legat Owen, said: “To have successfully let phase one is testament to the high quality product which Redsun has created here.

“While the scheme was designed as a trade counter development it is a great result to see Phase I let as a whole, given the lack of grade A availability in the local area.”

The design and project team includes Fletcher Rae, Langton Development Services, Link Engineering and KGA. Croft Trade Park is located next to the A41 New Chester Road and the Croft Retail Park. It was backed by a £5.2m loan from Merseyside Pension Fund.
