Growing European sales have driven up revenues and pre-tax profits at Liverpool sports brand Montirex.

Founded in 2019 by best friends Daniel Yuen and Kieran Riddell-Austin, Montirex products are now in demand across the world. In 2023 the Speke-based venture secured permanent concessions in high street retailers JD Sports and Footasylum.

Its latest results for the 12 months to December 31, 2025, show a 79% rise in sales to £129.3m with pre-tax also up 76% to £34.5m.

Growth was driven by strong demand across consumer and wholesale channels, increasing sales across European markets and the continued expansion of Montirex’s product offering.

During the year, the brand strengthened its position in the running and training categories through the expansion of its MTX Run range, while investing in more technical products through collaborations with performance fabric specialists including Polartec.

Expansion has continued after the accounting period. Against the backdrop of the Open Golf Championship returning to Royal Birkdale in July, Montirex launched its debut golf collection.

Kieran Riddell-Austin said: “When we started Montirex, our ambition was simply to create high-performance sportswear that looks great and remains accessible.

“Seeing our business grow to more than £129m in revenues has been incredible and it’s an achievement that reflects the loyalty of our customers as well as the commitment of our growing team.

“What’s particularly exciting is seeing the brand reach new audiences. Over the past year we’ve expanded our product offering across running, training and lifestyle categories, while also seeing strong demand from customers across Europe.”

Montirex has continued to invest heavily throughout 2025, increasing its employee headcount from 66 to 111 as it expanded teams across marketing, product development and technology.
