Sandway to offer 63 homes in £12m development

Sandway Homes, the housebuilding arm of Sefton Council, unveils £12m homes development in Liverpool city region that will include a number of new council houses. Tony McDonough reports

Sefton Council’s housebuilding arm Sandway Homes will offer 63 new homes in a new £12m development.

Covering 3.6 acres, Molyneux Gardens at Buckley Hill Lane in Netherton offers a mix of two to four-bedroom mews, semi-detached or detached houses. 18 of the homes will be transferred directly to Sefton Council to be used as social housing.

Sandway will release the remaining 45 homes in lots. They will range in price from £230,000 to £350,000. It will make the first 11 available for prospective buyers to reserve straight away.

Each home in Molyneux Gardens has a strong EPC rating of B and an electric vehicle charging point as standard.

High-efficiency boilers, heating systems and energy-efficient designs further contribute to reducing the neighbourhood’s carbon footprint, aligning with Sandway Homes’ commitment to sustainability.

Liverpool City Region Combined Authority has contributed of £1.05m to the scheme, alongside a Supplementary Capital Estimate of £2.2m from Sefton Council,

Sandway Homes has contracted Drees and Sommer and Challenger Building Services to ensure the successful delivery of the project, creating employment opportunities and apprenticeships within the building sector.
