Organised by Liverpool Health Partners the event theme is ‘Transforming health through collaboration: the challenges and opportunities’ was held at the Hilton Hotel in the city centre.
Liverpool’s Hilton Hotel is the venue the second Health is Wealth conference which took place on Tuesday.
Organised by Liverpool Health Partners (LHP), the event theme was “Transforming health through collaboration: the challenges and opportunities”.
Health is Wealth 2017 connects leaders and change makers in health and care with researchers, innovators and businesses.
The event discussed the future of health research, new models of person-centred care, integrated systems, and technologies and considered their role in enhancing the health and wealth of our economies.
This was set within a context of the need to reform health and build relationships and partnership beyond Europe.
Professor Sir Ian Gilmore, LHP chairman, said: “We showcased the latest research, innovations and best practice from our own city region as well as hearing from leaders of other organisations, networks, care providers and companies.
“LHP in itself is a strategic partnership aimed at creating health gain with the vision to pursue excellence in research, clinical education and healthcare delivery, and we are structured around the principles of collaboration across health services, academia and industry.”
