Second night added at sell-out Sefton Park Gin Party

An extra night has been added to the Sefton Park Gin Party in two weeks’ time after tickets for the original date sold out a month before the event.

The Palm House event will now run on the evening of Thursday 15 October, as well as the sell-out date on Friday 16 October, which attracted more than 1,600 ticket sales across two sessions in the afternoon and evening.

All original tickets sold out a few weeks ago and organisers have now released a further batch of tickets, many of which have already been snapped up by gin lovers, attracted by the prospect of sampling two new flavoured varieties of the city’s very own Liverpool Gin, as well as 25 other super-premium gins from around the world and a flight bar.

Gin Parties Ltd, which organises the event in association with Liverpool Gin, says it hasn’t ruled out the prospect of a further sell-out, such has been the continued demand for tickets.

Managing director Mark Hensby said:

“As soon as we released the tickets for both Friday sessions, we immediately began to realise we were on course for a sell-out.

“We didn’t expect it to happen as quickly as it did, yet by the start of September they had all gone. Requests for tickets continued to come in so we spoke to the Palm House about using the venue the night before, and happily they were able to accommodate us.

“Demand has continued at a similar rate, so it would be no surprise if we sold out the new allocation in the coming weeks.

“The appetite for high quality gin on Merseyside is incredible and we’re delighted that we’ll be able to satisfy several more of those thirsty, cultured palates at the Palm House next month.”

Liverpool Gin will also be inviting guests to give their feedback on an early version of a new oak-aged gin that is currently under development. This method replicates historical gin production techniques using wooden casks and helps the gin to develop flavours in a similar way to methods used in whisky production.
