Financial advisory firm Sedulo is set to break through the £15m revenue barrier for the first time this year.

Founded 14 years ago by Paul Cheetham-Karcz, Sedulo now operates out of Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds and London. Its services include audit, accountancy, taxation, business consultancy, forensic accounting and financial planning.

In 2021, Sedulo invested £1.4m setting up an operation in Liverpool. In December it reported annual revenues of £13.2m – a rise of almost 30% on the previous year.

Now Mr Cheetham-Karcz has brought together the firm’s 175 for a special conference at The Spine in Liverpool. He told them the business was set to see revenues rise again this year, projected to surpass £15m for the first time.

“We have been on an incredible journey over the last 14 years, with some remarkable achievements for our clients,” said the founder.

“We have worked tirelessly to establish Sedulo as a mid-tier firm and have a positive and exciting forward trajectory. And we are doing great work and have built a strong team but this really is only the beginning for us.

“In recent years we have significantly strengthened our team to reflect the demand we are seeing across the board. Our senior personnel now possess the experience to match what clients want from a modern, forward-thinking advisory firm.”

Sedulo managing director Cathryn Wright and UK head of tax, Sarah Richards, also addressed the team as part of a panel discussion.

The firm has clients from the worlds of entertainment, music and sports. It is looking at further expansion in cities such as Glasgow, Birmingham and Newcastle.

Mr Cheetham-Karcz added: “There are some big plans in the pipeline for the next couple of years and everyone is relentless in pursuing our goals. It is a very exciting time and I am proud to lead such a fantastic team. I am looking forward to where we will go next.

“Our conference in Liverpool follows our new office opening in the city in 2021. There is a dynamism about Liverpool that fits with Sedulo’s energy as a market leader. It is fantastic to have a base in the city.”
