Your Business eZine in association with Bruntwood and Garden Retail Success have launched a unique programme of events as part of the fringe calendar for the International Festival for Business 2014.
The Mind Your Own Business (MYOB) programme will comprise of four events designed specifically to address common issues and challenges faced by the smaller, more local business community and business start up’s in the Liverpool City Region. The events will inform, inspire and entertain local businesses.
Next in line is the Sell More Stuff! retail event, which is set to be held at the Cotton Exchange Old Hall on Thursday 26th June at 8.00am.
The panel of expert speakers amass decades of experience in the retail sector, and will give an open depiction of their journey; the successes and the pitfalls of the decisions that they have taken along the way. The line up includes Donal Bannon of event sponsor Morecrofts, Garden Retail Success’ Steve Myatt, Liverpool fashion entrepreneur Kirsty Doyle, Carl Hall from Lloyds Bank and Tim Lobley of Sound Affects Music.
This event is ideal for anyone looking to get a retail business off the ground, boost the profitability of existing businesses or generally develop an understanding of or engage more effectively with the retail sector. Sell More Stuff will provide the key elements and tips to make your existing business a better retail store and grow sales and profits within your store and to the wider world.
Emma Dolan, managing director at Your Business eZine said:
“We couldn’t be more excited about the Mind Your Own Business programme. We have managed to secure some phenomenal speakers for these events, whose experiences will be invaluable in providing a learning platform not just for small and growing businesses, but for businesses generally in the region.
“The IFB is without doubt the most exciting thing that has happened in the city since the Global Entrepreneurs Congress in 2012, and it is fantastic that the eyes of the world will once again be on Liverpool.
“However, we identified that many of the smaller businesses in Merseyside felt to some extent excluded by some of the high profile events that are planned. We felt it was important that we help to bridge that gap and make the festival accessible to everyone, and we’re delighted that Liverpool Vision and the IFB team have been incredibly supportive of the MYOB events.”
Smaller Earth Group and The North West Fund are official partners of the MYOB events, and will be directly involved in disseminating information and advice to the businesses attending.
