Bruce Daisley, who is Twitter’s European vice-president, will speak at an event in the city centre on Thursday, April 4, when he will share his experiences as an executive at Twitter as well as senior roles at Google and YouTube.

He is fascinated by the culture of the workplace and has written a book, The Joy of Work, which has become a Sunday Times No 1 bestseller. The event is being hosted by Andy Kent, chief executive of Liverpool digital firm, Angel Solutions.

Andy is also chair of BIMA (British Interactive Media Association), which is sponsoring the 1pm to 3pm session on the 10th floor of the Plaza in St Paul’s Square, along with Bruntwood and LCR Activate.

Bruce will ponder questions, such as ‘are lunch breaks for wimps or do they make us more productive?’ and ‘is it true you can improve team performance simply by moving the location of the kettle or the coffee machine. He’ll also talk about something called ‘Monk Mode Morning’.

Tickets for the event can be purchased by clicking here and the price includes lunch and a free copy of The Joy of Work which apparently will rise in value if he signs your copy. BIMA members get one free place.
