The co-founder and managing director of Liverpool digital agency Mashbo received his accolade at the annual Big Chip Awards in Manchester.
The awards celebrate excellence in the North West’s digital and creative sector.
‘Extra mile’
For the Leadership award the judges were seeking an individual who was “instrumental in creating a supportive work environment and a commitment to the wellbeing of their team”.
Announcing Gavin as the winner, they said: “Going the extra mile, Gavin has built a great team around him and is doing a lot for the Liverpool city region.
“There is strong evidence of a supportive work environment.”
Gavin said: “To receive the award was a total shock and when my name was announced it didn’t seem real.
“But to receive the award is a great honour for the collective team, especially my fellow co-founders Steve Todd and Liam Potter.
‘Great business’
“We’re building a great business with great clients locally and internationally. This award highlights the hard work and hours that have gone into building our business.
“It supports the digital and tech community work that we have been doing for the last three years via our Creative Kitchen brand organising sector meet ups and championing Liverpool as a centre of digital excellence.”
