Signature Living Developments eyes hotel business expansion

Signature Living Developments have announced plans to expand their business operations into London and Manchester.

The Liverpool based company has identified sites in both cities to roll out an expansion of its hotel and serviced apartment model.

Lawrence Kenwright, who is behind Signature Living, has delivered a string of hotel and apartments schemes in Liverpool over the past five years.

His projects have seen the redevelopment of properties on Matthew Street, Stanley Street and Victoria Street and more recently, his company delivered the transformation of the former White Star Line HQ on James Street turning into a luxury 7 story, 300-bed hotel.

The £7.2million restoration of the Grade II star listed building won approval from city leaders including Mayor Joe Anderson who recently visited the site.

Lawrence Kenwright said:

“The business has come such along way since we started with just one apartment in 2008, we are now much more than a provider of hotel rooms, I now see our future in helping to regenerate our great cities. We can do so much better than some of the hastily erected new builds that we see today.

“We’ve identified a number of properties in London and Manchester and I fully expect to be on site working on these new projects by the end of the year.

“I hope we can replicate the success we’ve had in Liverpool by offering the same affordable, high quality accommodation to visitors to other major cities.”

Shankly Hotel

Signature Living Developments will start work on Liverpool’s new ‘Shankly Hotel’ in the autumn after Liverpool City Council granted planning permission for the scheme last week.

The football themed hotel, a collaboration between Signature Living and Bill hanky’s grandson, Chris Carline, will pay tribute to the iconic Liverpool FC manager. It will also include a museum to showcase Shankly-related memorabilia.
