Schools that work collaboratively from two Learning Networks in the South of Liverpool brought pupils together for an Enterprise ‘showcase’ event at SFX College recently.
The school teams from primary, secondary and special schools (Norman Pannell Primary; Our Lady’s Bishop Eton Primary; St Paschal Baylon Primary; Woolton Primary; Sudley Juniors; ESLA; Palmerston; SFX and Woolton High) were each given a small amount of money to start up their ideas and any profits made from sales held at school fairs and events went to local charities chosen by the pupils or back into school to enhance their own learning.
The schools showcased their ideas and/or products to local business ‘Dragons’ who judged their financial business plans and ideas.
One of the dragons, Colin Manning, co-owner of the 60 Hope Street group in Liverpool city centre said:
“I can say on behalf of all the dragons that we had a great morning judging some really good ideas for business, we really enjoyed it. We were really impressed with the whole organisation behind the event too and look forward to getting involved in more in the near future.”
