There’s great news for the city’s coffee lovers this month as Space Coffee opens its doors in South Liverpool this week.
The new café is located in the Old Bank and sits on the corner of Aigburth Road & Mersey Road. It will be open seven days a week.
Developed by SK Events, the organisers of Liverpool Food and Drink Festival, the cafe retains the period features of the landmark building, including black and white marble floors and original panelling, and has been designed with Scandinavian influences.
Set in a prime location on one of the city’s busiest arterial routes, Space Coffee is perfectly located for both commuters and the thriving local community, with plenty of on street parking.
The eat-in menu includes a comprehensive drinks offer of teas and coffees, as well as beers, wines and spirits, home-made salads, sandwiches and snacks, plus hearty soups.
Busy customers who are more pushed for time can also utilise the grab-and-go service, ideal for commuters on their way to and from the Mersey Road train station.
Space Coffee offers fast, free wifi and meeting space is available for freelancers looking for a base to work from. Additional uniquely designed spaces can be privately hired for informal get togethers, as well as celebration events like christenings, birthday parties and baby showers.
Speaking about the opening a spokesperson for Space Coffee commented:“We saw a need in the area for a new quality cafe proposition, one that’s modern and multi-functional, where you could meet friends and enjoy some lunch, use as a working hub away from the hustle of the city or simply grab an easy bite to eat whilst you’re on the go. We’re looking forward to welcoming our first customers.”
