Nervecentre moves into The Spine in Paddington Village, Liverpool

Specialist software firm Nervecentre has opened a new office in The Spine Building in Liverpool’s knowledge quarter (KQ Liverpool).

This is located in central Liverpool to support Nervecentre’s large-scale electronic patient record (EPR) contract with Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Establishing a presence in the region will enable closer collaboration with clinical and operational teams, ensuring responsive, on-the-ground support and strengthening delivery of the programme.

The office will also serve as a central hub for Nervecentre’s growing 200-plus UK workforce. Chief executive Paul Volkaerts said: “Opening our second office in Liverpool marks an important step in the continued growth of Nervecentre Software.

“With a major EPR programme under way in the region, establishing a local presence allows us to work more closely with our NHS partners, providing the responsiveness and collaboration that such programmes demand.”

Nervecentre’s office space in The Spine is operated by Sciontec, which is also the operator of Liverpool Science Park.

Colin Sinclair, chief executive of Sciontec and KQ Liverpool, added: “We’re delighted that Nervecentre has chosen Liverpool for its first regional hub, and particularly our Sciontec AI workspace at The Spine.

“This is a strong endorsement of the city’s growing reputation in digital health and innovation, and reflects the strength of the ecosystem we’re continuing to build here in the Knowledge Quarter Liverpool innovation district.”
