Renault Liverpool will be transformed into a vibrant French farmers’ market on Saturday 6th September to celebrate the car company’s sponsorship of the upcoming Liverpool Food and Drink Festival, which will take place in Sefton Park from 19th-21st September.
Members of the public are being invited to indulge in a whole host of tasty French treats at Renault Liverpool’s Sefton Street showroom between 11am – 1pm, where producers will be selling French delights straight from the back of Renault car hatches.
Local chocolatier, The Chocolate Cellar, will be selling hot chocolate sticks, meringue kisses and rocky road, while The French Corner Bakery will be serving up traditional freshly baked baguettes and pastries. New addition to Liverpool’s food and drink scene, Bretta and Co Deli, will be selling French wines, cheeses and pates, while Treats Bake Shop will have lots of delicious savoury and sweet treats on offer.
The first 10 customers to arrive at the showroom will each receive a free three day pass to Liverpool Food and Drink Festival in Sefton Park, where celebrity chefs, Yotam Ottolenghi and Tom Kerridge, will join more than 160 Merseyside chefs and regional producers to serve up a giant open-air feast. All visitors to Renault Liverpool this weekend will also receive 10 percent off tickets to Liverpool Food and Drink Festival.
Steven Parsley, General Manager of Renault Liverpool, is looking forward to the showroom being filled with French flavours. He said:
“Liverpool Food and Drink Festival is the biggest foodie event on the city’s calendar and we are pleased to be a part of it this year.
“To celebrate the fact that Liverpool Food and Drink Festival is just weeks away, we thought it would be good to host our own foodie event at our Sefton Street showroom. Visitors can enjoy a pastry or two while browsing the latest Renault vehicles.”
Denise Harris, Director of Liverpool Food and Drink Festival, added:
“It’s fantastic to have Renault on board and we are looking forward to indulging in some tasty French treats this weekend.”
The French market coincides with ‘Renault Summer Season’, where customers who order a brand new 64 plate will receive £1,500 deposit contribution on selected models, exclusive part exchange prices and 10 percent off all accessories.
This year’s Liverpool Food and Drink Festival includes a programme packed full of live demos, featuring celebrity chefs and local experts. There will also be an edible garden, real ale festival, heavenly chocolate garden, street food zone and music from talented local musicians.
Once the weekend launch event comes to an end, festivities are set to continue for the rest of the week with a programme of food and drink events at restaurants, bars, pubs, cafes, and arts venues across the city.
