Tech venture MTX Solutions adds three people to its leadership team ‘bringing games industry expertise to defence’
Sci-Tech Daresbury tech venture MTX Solutions has unveiled three new members of its senior team.
MTX is a business that builds advanced software and virtual simulations to help organisations test equipment, train people, and analyse data.
It brings together defence and operational insight with expertise in high-performance software, modelling and simulation, autonomy, data systems and digital engineering.
Now it has strengthened its senior engineering team with the appointment of Andy Booth as chief technology officer, alongside Danny Pearce and Jason Chown as technical directors.
Together, they bring decades of experience across software engineering, technical leadership, AAA games and other technically demanding sectors, strengthening the specialist capability behind MTX’s growing sovereign UK digital engineering offering.
Andy Booth brings more than 15 years’ experience across software engineering, technical leadership and AAA games.
An engineering generalist with expertise spanning porting, reverse engineering, optimisation and developer tooling, Andy has worked across multiple platforms, engines and technologies.
Danny Pearce has worked in software since the early 2000s and was previously technical director at Firesprite. More recently, he developed tools in financial services for visualising and exploring complex trading algorithms across large historic datasets.
Jason Chown brings more than 30 years’ experience, most recently as CTO at vTime. He previously spent 12 years at Sony, following earlier roles at Ocean and Psygnosis.
