The Brink is set to welcome media mogul Phil Redmond to its award-winning venue.
On Thursday, March 3, the revolutionary dry-bar located on Parr Street will host ‘An Evening with Phil Redmond’ in a bid to inspire and influence its guests.
The intimate evening will see the television producer and screenwriter take to the stage to discuss his own slant on his career highlights and answer a series of guest questions.
Events Manager at The Brink David Barnicle said:
“It’s certainly an honour to welcome Liverpool legend Phil Redmond to The Brink. His visit will hopefully encourage and motivate both media fanatics and the general public alike, particularly those who are embarking on or considering a career in the television industry.
“Phil continues to champion community spirit both on and off set, and his work aims to give the issues of the working class a voice on the television screen – he’s certainly a figure for the city to be proud of. For this reason, our guests are looking forward to the chance to hear all about his experiences in the industry first hand and even to ask Phil some of their burning questions about his colourful career.”
Phil Redmond boasts an expansive career within the media industry and is the creator of a number of acclaimed soap operas including Brookside, Hollyoaks and Grange Hill. He has recently released a dramatic novel, titled Highbridge, and has previously set up and owned independent film company Mersey Television.
Those in attendance can also enjoy a hearty main meal and opt from a selection of dishes such as The Brink’s famous Fish and Chips, as well as the new menu additions, Magick Infusion Chicken Kebab and Thai Green Vegetable Curry.
David added:
“Here at The Brink, we like to host regular events with the sole aim of inspiring our guests, whether they are members of the recovery community or otherwise. As a thriving hub of activity, our bustling events calendar features an array of happenings including weekly a film club, open mic and poetry nights and an eclectic selection of live music.”
‘An Evening with Phil Redmond’ will take place on Thursday, March 3. A £10 ticket includes entertainment and a main course. £5 may be paid on the door to include entry only.
Those eating must arrive no later than 7:30pm. Talk begins at 8:30pm.
