Described as ‘Liverpool city region’s most uplifting celebration’ The Guide Liverpool Heroes Awards 2026 will return this November
The Guide Liverpool Heroes Awards will return in November to once again shine a spotlight on the incredible people and organisations who make Liverpool such a special place.
Last year’s inaugural ceremony was a night that won’t be forgotten as 55 finalists were honoured and 20 local heroes were recognised for their courage, compassion and remarkable impact. More than 1m people watched on social media.
And, with so many individuals, groups, charities and businesses continuing to inspire the city region with their resilience, kindness and superhuman efforts for their communities, it was clear to The Guide Liverpool that the awards simply had to return for 2026.
This year, The Guide Liverpool Heroes Awards will be brought to you by Merseyrail and in partnership with San Carlo Restaurants and Liverpool BID Company and will take place at the Titanic Hotel on Saturday, November 28.
Jay Hynd, The Guide Liverpool director and founder of the awards, said: “Last year’s inaugural Heroes event was a night we won’t ever forget. Celebrating the very individuals and organisations that make what we do at The Guide worthwhile was a dream come true. That’s why we had to bring it back for 2026.
“Week in and week out, we feature extraordinary people, businesses, groups, charities and more, who astound us with what they do and achieve for the benefit of others.”
Last year’s winners included some of the region’s most inspiring figures and organisations. They included:
- The Southport Families of Bebe King, Elsie Dot Stancombe and Alice Da Silva Aguiar, who received a Special Award for the charities they have each created in their daughters’ memories.
- Speedo Mick, honoured for his extraordinary fundraising achievements and his journey overcoming homelessness, addiction and mental health challenges to raise more than £1m for charities.
- Claire House Children’s Hospice, named Charity of the Year, meaning the 2026 event will support its vital new West Derby hospice.
Nominations are officially open for The Guide Liverpool Heroes Awards 2026, with categories including Child of Courage, Community Hero, Business Hero, Inspiring Influencer, Sports Hero, Emergency Services, Fundraising Hero and many more.
Members of the public can nominate their hero now by clicking here, with nominations closing on August 31. The shortlist will be announced in September, when public voting opens.
