With Chocolate Week well underway, The Interesting Eating Company has devised a menu to whet the appetites of chocoholics across the city.
Gracing both the Liverpool ONE and Allerton Road eateries’ infamous blackboards, the chocolate offerings range from light bites and desserts to hot and cold beverages to satisfy their sweet-toothed customers.
The commemorative week falls soon after a recent survey revealed that Britain has topped the charts as Europe’s biggest chocolate consumer – each devouring an average of 11.2kg of chocolate last year.
Director of The Interesting Eating Company Nichola Lee said:
“It felt only right to celebrate Chocolate Week after it was announced that us Brits have been named as the top chocolate consumers in Europe. Our delectable dishes, created especially for the celebrations, will surely contribute to the recent figures, as we offer a huge variety of sweet treats with our chocolate flavoured selections perhaps our best sellers.
“Our confectionary offerings are ever-popular and we can’t imagine a better way to mark the occasion than with culinary delights such as Nutella and Strawberry Pancakes or our ‘Memories of Childhood’ Nutella Sandwiches, washed down perfectly with options like our Deluxe Hot Chocolate and Chocolate Bar Shakes.”
The Interesting Eating Company is renowned across Liverpool and further afield for its ‘Your Favourite Chocolate Bar’ shake selection, which allows chocolate craving customers to choose from Twix, Oreo, Mars Bar, Bounty, Mint Aero, Snickers, Crunchie, Daim or Nutella to create their ideal milkshake.
Fellow director Andrea Edwards added:
“Day after day, we welcome guests who visit us to try our famous range of shakes all based on the nation’s favourite chocolate bars, and we find that they are certainly one of our more popular menu items. They’re perfect both to get cosy with in the café and watch the world go by or for a take-out treat on the go.
“All in all, Chocolate Week is a great excuse to indulge in one of the nation’s best loved delicacies, and where better to enjoy it than at The Interesting Eating Company!”
